I'm just done!

I am here.. and ready to make a change! I cannot believe I have let myself get so bad :(

In high school I was a size 5 - tall, but comfortable and weighed around 130
I got pregnant with my oldest daughter and gained 80lbs from the pregnancy.. I ended up getting down to 150 after having her.
I got pregnant with my middle daughter - gained 60 lbs and ended up weighing 175 within the year...
I had my youngest daughter in July 2010 - got up to 210lbs and thought I could lose it, no problem!
Well shortly after my daughters birth - my husband was deployed for 10 months. During that 10 months I figured out I am an emotional eater. Weighing myself this morning I am at 250lbs!
I cannot believe how much weight I have gained!

I don't want to go out with my friends for girls nights because I am uncomfortable.. I hate the idea of really going anywhere - but still do. I am so embarrassed with how I look and I don't want to look like this anymore!

I hope and pray that this time I can change!:?:

I feel your pain, I know what it's like not wanting to go out cause of how you look. You really shouldn't let it hold you back though. For me being occupied is one of the best ways of getting on track and if I just stay home it makes me want to eat more so it's a vicious cycle!
Best of luck to you

I know how you feel, I have to go shopping tomorrow and I'm already dreading it, I hate leaving the house. I used to be very slim until I was about 21 and moved abroad and started drinking a lot, there was always some party going on, depression got worse and I started eating too much.
Now I feel awful and don't want to leave the house until I've lost the weight. I meant to get back in the gym about a month ago but I keep getting knocked down by things happening all around me. I am determined to lose the weight deep down though, no more excuses, after all, every time I come back from a powerwalk or something I feel great. I'm aiming for the end of summer, and when I do I will reward myself with a vacation to Vegas or LA or some other sunny place I've always wanted to visit.
I wish you the best of luck, and put something like a vacation in as a reward for yourself, it does help motivate you! :)

I understand completely not wanting to leave the house. If you're anything like me, it feels like everyone is judging you, your size, your choices. But heres the thing: people are incredibly preoccupied with themselves. We are self-centered creatures by nature. Those people? 99% of the time they aren't thinking about you. If they are, its for a moment and more likely to be along the lines of "hey, I own that shirt." or "oh, shes holding a shopping bag. I need to remember to bring home toilet paper after work."

Being uncomfortable out with friends, especially thinner friends, is something I totally identify with. The typical girls night things (for my friends and I) are shopping and going out for dinner/drinks. Not ideal for the big girl. I have tried steering us in the direction of game night or walks in the park, going to a museum or having a movie night in.

*hugs* Totally sympathize.
