Newbie here! in need of slimming down for wedding!
 

Hey everyone, another newbie here! Just a brief background on myself. Im 24 and am a mum to a two year old daughter. Im getting married july 2014, but am getting fitted for my wedding dress in december (2013) and ive gave myself a target to get bk to the weight i was before i had my daughter, so i need to lose 40lbs. (ive lost 8lbs in the last three weeks). My patner tries to support me but keeps ending every conversation with your fine how you are. Which is lovely of him but not motivating me very much! Lol

I want to do this for myself, so i can look beautiful in the stunning dress ive brought and feel confident walkin down the aisle in front of so many people! :-\

I thought joining here i could b honest with people about my weight and how much i wanna lose and not feel ashamed. I look forward to chatting to people and helping motivate! X

Congrats on your wedding! This website is priceless as far as support is concerned. I could not have accomplished what I did without the wonderful ladies here (and a few guys too!). If you want to lose the weight, my advice is to check in here often sharing your stories and learning from others. Happy New Year!!

When I saw the title of this thread, I automatically assumed that it was posted by someone wanted to slim down very quickly for a wedding just weeks away. Glad to see I was wrong; you've got a very realistic, very achievable healthy goal. Congrats on your attitude and on your engagement!

I'm also new to the site and hoping to get some kind of a fun wedding challenge going! I won't be getting married until Spring 2014 but will probably dress shop this summer and it would be great to have short term challenge partners!
