New, so very new.

Ok, so oddly enough I found this site by looking up different things for weight loss and to help some side effects of being obese.

I'm 27, and this is the first time in my life that I can actually say that I just really hate the way I look. For the last 6 years or so I've been bigger but I've never been THIS big..

I'm finding a hard time getting motivated to do anything buy mope and hate myself. So I'm just really looking for a shoulder to cry on and a kick in the butt.

Hey, welcome, I'm in the same boat as you. I'm 28, been bigger the last six or seven years, but not this big...I usually hover around 165, 160, but now I am 180 (thought it was 185 but I think that last 5 lbs was holiday food, because now a few days later it's 180). I also feel like just laying around and moping, but how is that going to change things? It won't. So I'm going to make myself go walk/jog at the part tomorrow, even if for just 20 minutes. I say it's ok to mope for a little bit if you need to, but please don't hate yourself. If a friend of yours was in this situation, would you hate on them for it? I'm guessing no. Be kinder to yourself and just do what you gotta do. Good luck.

Welcome! You are definitely in the right place for motivation! Join some challenge threads or an accountability thread. Those really helped me when I started.
