Hello all!
My name is Austin and I live in Fargo, ND. I'm 21 years old, 5'5", 262 lbs. I've been on and off diets since I was 11. My most recent diet (back in 2009) worked very well for me. I was eating extremely healthy and workin out 4-5 times a week for about an hour each session. I lost 30 lbs my first month. I was doing so great but, alas, I failed to follow through and eventually quit. I'm hoping to do something similar but maybe start out a bit slower. I'm hoping that by joining a community of sorts, that it will be enough to keep me motivated. So here's to the new me! (Fingers crossed) Austin |
Good luck on your journey. yes the 30 pounds in one month for your starting weight seems a bit much to me.
I lost 35 my first month, but then again I weighed over 450 to start with. Are you doing a certain diet, or just counting calories? And yes, you can drop however many pounds, but if you don't change the lifestyle and go back to eating the way you used to, it will come back. |

First off,thank you everyone for the warm welcome. I don't plan on counting calories. To me, that just makes the whole diet experience that much more depressing. What I'm. Going to be doing is just eating more healthy ie. No red meat, lots of fruits and vegetables, whole grains, skim milk etc.
