New, and determined!

Hey everybody :) I'm new to this website, and I have been trying to lose weight for about two years. The problem for me is that I always lose my focus, and always tell myself that this time it will be different, but I always give up in the end. But this time is IS different. I promise. And that's why I came here, to find inspiration to keep going and lose my weight :carrot:
You all seem so nice! I'm looking forward to becoming a part of this community

You're 5'8" and want to be 100 pounds?

nomorejellybeans, I apologise, that was a typo! I'll fix it in a second :)
Misti in Seattle, thanks for the support!
Ruthxxx, I am trying to change my lifestyle altogether and lose weight, I am a vegetarian already and planning on eating less carbs and more meals made up solely of fruit and veg. Also I'll be purchasing a zumba DVD as I tried it last week and find it an extremely entertaining and motivating way to stay fit :)

You can do it! I have loved reading the Goal and Mini goal sections. I get inspired and can't wait to post there! Welcome!

Getting down to 110 would give you a BMI of 16.5, which is underweight. Your current BMI is 21, well within normal.

Why do you want to lose weight? In another thread, you mentioned that you are eating around 500 calories a day right now. I'm concerned for you in that you are undereating and you are aiming for what is most likely an unhealthy target weight.

Good point Garnet.

Feebz maybe you just need to improve your fitness and not lose too much weight?

This was concerning me a lot as well. The last thing you want is to jump in the rabbit hole of any eating disorder because the long term effects on your health are devestating, which I know from personal experience. Maybe set goals for bettering your health and maybe setting fitness goals?
