Unhappy New and ready for a change

hello im Tabitha im 28 years old and i weight almost 500lbs. I have always been over weight as a child and have tried different things to help me lose the weight in May of this year i was diagnosed with PCOS. I have high insulin and high testosterone levels. I really want to lose all of this weight before i become diabetic and before i die at a young age . I have started walking and am learning how to portion control i am thinking about doing the south beach diet and really hope that i can get this weight off before it gets worse. I do not have the book yet but hopeing to get it soon. looking foward to learning more and getting healthy.

Tabitha,
I have done South Beach, and I liked it a lot. I stopped that way of eating, though, and gained weight back, but if you enjoy meats and veggies and cheese you can really go far. Good Luck!!!!

Hello and welcome! In case you haven't seen it yet, I believe there is a spot on the forums for the South Beach Diet. You should check it out. Lots of usefull information and knowledgable people to help.
