week off to a tough start
 

i just need a little boost right now. about a month ago my pay was cut by 5 dollars. a manager looked at our contract and decided that the company has been reading it wrong for the past 7 years! i tried to stay upbeat about it and found an opening at another branch of the same company. i applied and interviewed, but i just found out that i didn't get the job. it's tough to swallow, being that i know the branch manager of the other branch. the manager that cut my pay kept telling me that i would get the job. i'm confident that through arbitration, we will get our pay reinstated. it's going to take 7 or 8 months before we find out. i haven't posted in a long time, so i think "introductions" is a good place to start. just putting my thoughts in writing is a good way to release a lot of negative feelings. i think i'll stay put at my current job until i find out what's going to happen. besides, there will be a large back payment if we win!

Welcome back, David!! Good luck with arbitration; I know that can be a really stressful time. I'm not sure if you're the same way, but I tend to stuff my face when I get stressed :halfempty

A nice walk or jog might also help clear your head, give you time to think, and collect your thoughts. I'll be sending good vibes your way!!
