Hi! Newbie looking for motivation.
Hi! I'm new here.
I am at my highest weight ever (upper 200's) and really need some support and motivation to lose this weight. I was doing really well about 7 years ago I got down to almost 200 and at 5'9 I was starting to feel really good about myself. I even wore a size 16 (from size 24) dress in my besties wedding. Around the same time I met my current husband and after two years we got married and soon after I was pregnant with my 3rd child. I did well during my pregnancy, I even managed to weigh less after I gave birth. The problem was a combination of C-section, and being stuck at home with an infant helped me to start gaining. Add on being unhappy living with my mother (we had moved in before finding out we were pregnant to help my mother pay her bills after my brother moved out on her without notice). Fast forward four years and forty pounds I am now super unhappy with my weight and being 36 I'm starting to worry about my health. Me and my husband have moved from Va to IL and now I able to focus on me. I have already lost 14 pounds:carrot: just by cutting back but I really want to get back into working out and going to the gym. I'm waiting til the 1st of the year to join the local ymca and its a bit to cold to walk here in IL so exercise is mainly going up and down my stairs and chasing my 4 year old. Me and hubby are cutting out fast food (though I've cheated a few times while taking my daughter to mcdonalds to play in the playland). So anyway that is my story. I'm hoping to meet some people to motivate me. Thanks for reading! |
for me, shayloss channel on youtube was a big help, try to watch his videos from the beginning, his words stay in my head for months
and thefitnessjournal i think it's called on tumblr has alot of great posts and quotes i keep a book in my purse with me that has all the inspirational quotes i like right next to my grocery list. and of course looking at the goal threads here. congratulations, good luck :smug: |

i make a sorta chart n cross out pounds as i lose them...10 pounds are what i usually write down on it...focusing on them helps me more...i put them up on my fridge where i can see them n so that everytym i thnk of taking a snack out 4m it, i see that lost pound and stop myself...=p...hope ds helps...n warm green tea is good for weight loss specially if taken with a few drops of lemon on an empty stomach in da morning...atleast it does for me...thought should let u know...hope this helps...u go girl!!!! =D |
