New, confused, and need some support!
 

I was diagnosed with pcos in march of 2011. My dr. at the time prescribed metformin to help with symptoms, but it made me sleep so much and I couldn't stay awake. When I told her this she said it wasn't possible. Since she wasn't willing to listen, I changed drs then my insurance changed so I had to change drs again. This dr is suggesting that I have mirena inserted even though I've never conceived. Has anyone had experience with mirena and pcos? Hes hoping to regulate things and try to help with weight loss. I'm 5'5" and 230 pounds. Any suggestions on where to start with weight loss?
