Sigh. Starting tomorrow.

Well hi everyone! I'll (try to) make it short & sweet :) no promises LOL

I'm 36, mom of a teenager, 5'5"...

201 pounds. Gulp. I've been fat for about 2 years, but never this big :(. I was a thin person most of my life... that is holding me back for two reasons: I have bad eating habits due to never having to watch weight, and I still see myself as "skinny" when I look in the mirror. It's crazy! Photographs and my clothes are always the wake up calls.... So I stay in scrubs and avoid cameras HAHA. I don't wear makeup or care about my hair anymore, what's the point?
Well I'm tired of it!!!
I want to feel attractive again. I would like to see my daughter think I'm beautiful again. I want to be a positive example for her & for my patients. And my ultimate goal.... Is I want to be a runner someday. I plan to travel nurse when she goes to college, and it's always been a vision of mine to be involved in running and accomplish marathons. I'm not getting any younger, and as of now I get winded walking up one flight of stairs.

So I have some work to do.
My goals officially:

1. Mini goal 170#
2. End goal 140#
3. Be able to RUN a 5k by my end goal
4. Change my eating habits permanently

My vices and obstacles to reaching these goals:
1. I Have grown to LOVE TV! I'm a total fatty on the couch every night
2. I enjoy eating when I watch TV
3. I'm soooooooo tired in the evenings and hate exercise
4. HUGE sweet tooth
5. Baths. Hours and hours long. Googling, watching shows on the laptop
6. The whole skinny image thing

Okay.....So a friend of mine is bringing me the WW points plus materials, I plan on starting Tuesday Oct 30, 2012. I'm not sure how WW will do for me, I really am more of a calorie counter person- but I'm going to give it a shot. If it doesn't work for me I plan on going to a 1200 calorie plan.

I apologize if this seems choppy or boring, I'm typing it from my cell IN THE BATHTUB
Hahaaaaahahahaaaaa

Thanks for reading. And thanks for being here :)

Well, depending on how active you are now, training for a marathon might be a great and simple way to lose pounds. Just exercising more can sometimes make all the difference! It's good to hear you're taking action with your diet too though, that can be difficult. Good luck, you can do it!
