Hello from Portland, Oregon
 

Hi everyone, I am hoping this can be a regular thing for me posting here. My name is Vashti and I am from Portland, Oregon. I am 28 years old and I have always been over weight. I was a large baby and things never changed. I have hypothyroid, hypoglycemia, Celiac disease, and endometriosis. These conditions limit what I can eat, make it so I must eat frequently, and I am very limited on the exercise I can take part in because I have chronic pain issues.
HOWEVER, I still feel it is possible to lose weight. I am going to get married January 2014. I really want to get in shape. I have never been thin and I long to know what that feels like.
I also would like to talk with other young people from Portland, Oregon. I know it's harder than ever to be young and fat here. It's a very fit city.. You feel like you don't belong.. I'd love some support.

Hi Vashti! Although I'm not from Portland, I live in a an area where there is a similar emphasis on fitness so I feel like I can relate somewhat. What is your weight loss plan? This site is a great place for help/support/advice. Welcome!
