New Here
Hi All :) I am going to be 59 (very shortly) and am feeling rather discouraged in my weight loss struggle. I have been diagnosed with osteo of the spine and am on meds for it and there is a strong history of heart disease in my family and my cholesterol level is high. I really want/need to lose about 53 lbs but just can't seem to do it. I am currently trying WW on my own, counting points and all and have recently (within the past year) gone to the gym (boring) tried kick boxing (Eeekk !) and done a walking CD in my own home, but I seem to lose interest and give up. I sit at a desk all day at work and know that I need to get moving for my health!! When I look at myself in the mirror I just know that this is not the person I want to be. :( I found this site just by chance and I am hoping that I will find the support from others going through the same thing as me, no matter the age, and maybe this is where I will finally find "my way". Thanks for listening, heres to a New Day:D

Love your user name!!!! Yay, another quilter. Sorry to hear about the osteo of the spine - sounds painful. But glad you found the site - there's lots of wonderful folks here. And tons of people doing WW. Good luck. |
