only 18 and a long way to go

hello all, i joined this support forum as a last resort. I am an 18 year old girl who has been heavy her whole life. right now i weigh 230 pounds. i want to weigh 150 for my high school graduation in may. Ive tried losing weight before but id lose some and then quit doing what i was doing. But this time is different. Im going to do this.

Take one day at a time and prepare your food in advance. I prepare my food one week in advance and freeze it so, it ready in a few minutes in the microwave.

Hello 18young!

I've found that talking about everything really helps. So I think joining 3FC was a great first step! If you work hard, you can achieve your goal! And no matter what your weight is come May, I'm sure you're going to look great at your graduation!

Hi! I'm 18 too- I'm doing this so I can actually feel confident enough to be myself at Uni, and finally get a much needed social life! Good luck!

Welcome to 3FC! You have certainly come to the right place for help, support, and advice along your journey. You are a great age to start making a healthier lifestyle for yourself so that's a wonderful start! Just remember to take this one day at a time, you will have days where you mess up or just don't feel like doing anything and that is normal. Just keep up your drive, remember that you are doing this to better your life and the rest will fall into place. Also I recommend checking out the challenges and accountability threads, the challenges are a lot of fun!

Hey! I'm 19 (almost 20, wow) and I started much heavier than you, but I too have been overweight my entire life. It's not going to be easy, but it will be worth it! I wish I had started when I was 18! Don't give up, keep at it now so you don't have to struggle with it later! If you ever want to talk, you can pm me.
