Default Hello, another newbie here....

Hi,

I joined quite a while ago, but haven't posted anything until now. I've been "watching what I eat" but not on any plan. For some reason, if I put myself on a plan, I seem to get rebellious, like some outlaw doing bad things. Like a 2-year-old in the terrible two's...it's crazy. I've been journalling what I eat for a really long time, but that doesn't seem to work, either. So, I thought I'd see what others are doing for success - maybe I'll learn something here!

My name here is Miss Fitt because I don't seem to fit into any plan......

Hi Miss Fit. Welcome! Hope you find something that works for you soon.

I am not on a "plan" either, at least if you are referring to a diet, since I don't believe in them; just eating healthfully. It DOES work but requires more than just "watching what you eat." I research and make sure I get plenty of nutrition, and I do journal and post it here in my check in thread.

Glad you are here! There is a lot of support and encouragement, and lots of threads with various plans and methods. You can do this.

Default Thanks for the warm welcome!

Yes, I've been watching what I eat and it seems to be quite a lot. I eat pretty healthy, but just too much of everything! I just have to get serious about this whole thing, which I haven't been. Until now, that is!

Thanks for your vote of confidence, Misti in Seattle!
I can do this!

Hi! Keep checking the threads here and you're sure to get some good ideas. I too decided to just write down everything I eat for the first week, then see where I can change things. Oh boy! was THAT a revelation! Had as many calories for breakfast as I should have for the whole day! Yikes! Fitday is a good way to get started I like it because you can even make a custom food if they don't have something in their list. You just have to be brutally honest. Wishing you much success. ..... Carbie
