Salutations
Hi.
I'm kinda new to forums like this, but I thought I would give it a try because I'm in need of some support with my recent decision to live a better, healthier life. I became engaged to my best friend a short while ago and while I was immediately elated and ridiculously happy at the time, my spirits fell not too long after when I saw a picture someone had tagged me in online. I started thinking about how I would look in my wedding pictures. I'm afraid that I won't be able to hang any of them proudly without cringing every time I see myself. I just want to be happy on my big day, not worrying about whether or not my arms look fat in my wedding dress. We're planning on getting married in May or the beginning of June 2013 and I'd like to at least lose 35 lbs by then. I keep trying to live right but keep jumping off the bandwagon at the first craving of sugar. So yeah, I need some support. I hope I can gain something from this forums as well as contribute what I've learned over the years as well. |
Welcome and congratulations!
I totally understand the sugar thing, having been a sugar junkie my whole life! I've found it very helpful to eliminate all the sugar I can to shake the cravings. Once you go a couple weeks without, it gets a lot easier to avoid sugar. The South Beach Diet phase 1 is great for getting started! Good luck and glad to meet you. :) |
Hello and :welcome3: I agree that getting the sugar out of your system is "key" and will break the horrible cravings. You can do it!
