I need a buddy or some type of support system!

Hi there, my name is Ashley. I am on the Ideal Protein Diet, and have been on it for about 2 months. I've already lost 35 pounds!!! I recently went on a 3 week break from the diet (had surgery, from southern Louisiana and got hit by a hurricane, etc...) and now I am ready to jump back in full force. This last week I did the diet...but not 100%. I have been doing it 100% for the last two days...and I intend to keep it that way. I have lost all of the weight that I put on during my hiatus...but it's just so hard getting back into the swing of things. I find myself so hungry, but not really sure if it's hunger or boredom. I am also having trouble finding things to cook for supper. My typical day includes a chocolate IP shake for breakfast, a salad for lunch, IP soy puffs or IP bar for a snack, then some type of grilled meat and veggies for supper. It gets old quick! As I previously mentioned, I am from the south. I never learned to cook without using butter or putting everything over either rice, potatoes, or pasta!!!! I have 57 pounds till my main goal, but 32 till my next major goal. Basically I am looking for a buddy. Someone that I can share ideas, experiences, recipes, and such with. If anyone here is interested in being my shoulder to lean on...please let me know and we can figure out how to keep in touch. Thanks!!!!

Ashley, I also reached out for buddies at first. They were useful, but not as useful as the forum in general. There are lots of sub-communities on 3fc- I recommend joining a chat and sticking with it. While one or two buddies is nice, a whole chat works even better (for me).

Thanks Kelly! I will definitely check out the chat rooms!

:welcome: And I agree... finding threads you can relate to and becoming involved in groups here, etc., is very helpful.

I think I would do better with a buddy. I need that one on one contact. But thanks for the advice.
