Hopping Back on the Wagon
Hi All!
I started my weight loss journey a little over two years ago, when my husband (then boyfriend) and I got engaged. At that point, I never really had self-image issues; I was a confident size 18 and had no qualms about it. I worked out, but not on a regular schedule. All it took was that ring on my finger and I never vowed to be a "fat bride". (I know that's a horrible thing to say, but that's all that would go through my mind.) I started my weight loss journey at 293 pounds, and lost 65 lbs in just over a year. Once the wedding fiasco was finally over, I stopped eating healthy, working out, and being active. It was as if I had done it for that one day, and not for the rest of my life. I put on 20 of the 65 lbs that I had previously lost. I've recently gotten back to my healthy ways and I am so determined and excited to get my life back. My target weight is between 150-160 lbs, which leaves me around 100 lbs that I'd like to lose. I'm in this for the long haul, and I cannot wait to get the body and mindset that I deserve to have. I have been a lurker on this site for AGES, but have never joined. Figure this is the perfect time as any. I can't wait to begin my journey with all of you ladies on here. :) --Katie |
