8 weeks after mastectomy needs another warrior goddess
I am a 51 year old woman going through breast cancer a second time and I just did my BMI and at 190 lbs I squeak into the obese category. I still have chemo to do but thought I could find inspiration here as well as some nutritional information from other cancer survivors with weight issues. I guess my goal is to get healthy again and keep my energy level.

Good luck with your efforts!! |
Sorry to hear about your situation. :( You did it once, you can do it again!

I'm sorry I don't have any advice or relevant experience, but I just wanted to say I know you can do it, and we're all here for you whenever you need us!

Welcome. Prayers and thoughts are with you as you go through treatments.
Good luck and keep us posted. |
Thank you for the warm welcome ladies! I will keep in touch and figure out this site. After being on sick leave for 8 weeks the work has piled up and I am trying to make a dent in it before I start my chemo. My goal is ultimately to lose 65 lbs and I am down 15 since my surgery. My approach prior to chemo is just to load up on nutritionally dense foods and beef (for the making of blood cells). Good luck with your goals ladies - think light today!
