Hi there!

I'm new here.

I just really started trying again to get back in shape. I lost 70lbs at my lowest but I gained it all back by rewarding myself with food. I see that now. I have a wedding to get my body prepared for in about 2 years so I really am committing to this life change this time. When I lost all that weight before it was very quick and I think that was part of why I gained it back as well. I was going to a weight loss doctor taking appetite suppressants and other supplements but I wasn't really learning how to keep the weight off.

At my lowest I was around 183, but because of my height I need to realistically be much less than that. But I'm not going to mentally push myself, I'm going to gradually do it and hope this time it will stay off for good. I know I can do this if I put my mind to it :D

I feel ya!

I had the same thing happen to me as well. I went to a weight loss dr, took the pills, at the crazy small portions, lost a ton of weight...felt great!

Starting eating regularly, gained all 60 pounds back, plus some!

Frustrating, isn't it??

I'm getting back on track, but doing it the healthy way this time. I think the benefits will be well worth it!!!

Good luck to you!

For me I have to remember eating what seems "normal" isn't. Most of my family is morbidly obese and wouldn't dream of "depriving" themselves or breaking a sweat, but they can't DO anything but eat. Vacations are planned around weight. Weddings are planned around weight because no one can travel too far or they'll be problems with edema or airline costs or whatever. I had to change my mindset of deprivation of food to depriving myself of having a real life with good health. It's hard, but doable. Baby steps, and before you know it it IS normal.
