Just thought I'd say a quick hello to everyone out there. I discovered this site a few days ago, and I've really been moved by all of the weight loss stories on here, both completed and in progress. You all seem like such lovely, friendly people!

I am a 23-year-old writer and have been wanting to lose weight for awhile now. Three years ago, I was really into group fitness classes and had a truly wonderful workout buddy; I weighed 135 and was the healthiest I had ever been in my life. Then I met my current boyfriend, who, wonderfully and unfortunately, is also obsessed with videogames and movies and pizza. Three years, senior year of undergrad, a stressful year of grad school, and 60 pounds later, I find myself pushing the 200 mark and I can't handle it! So, after several failed attempts, I am doing everything I can to stay motivated this time around. I've already joined the 90-day exercise challenge starting in August, as well as the Sexy For Halloween competition, and I'm raring to go! :)

What I'm looking for on here most of all is buddies, so that I have a reason to keep coming back and be constantly inspired by this forum. So shoot me a line if you like, and I will do my best to be a motivation for you as well! :wave:

Grommet! I love him so much, I named one of my cats after him. (The cat is not nearly as smart as his namesake, though.)
