Getting control of my life

  • Hi all~I'm new to this (any!) forum for weight loss and am hoping that I can get the encouragement that I need to lose the weight that has been plaguing me since adolescence. I'm 37 and not getting any younger...

I was recently diagnosed with PCOS and, while it is a relief to finally understand all that has been "wrong" with me all these years, it is still a heaviness in my life. In reading the threads on this site, I understand now that many people have gone through this and knowledge and support are the keys to getting your life back. I aim to lead a happy, healthy life!

I look forward to being able to express my joys, sorrows, frustrations, and triumphs in weight loss (or gain, as it is inevitable...) with people who have been there and/or are still going through it (I'm cursed with wonderful friends who have none of the issues I do...sympathetic, not empathetic)!
  • best of luck to you!

  • Heidi, welcome, glad to have you join us. I suggest you look for a Challenge or Support group to join; small check-in groups make it easier to connect, get involved, and be accountable. We have groups centering around specific diets, themes, or age groups, find one that inspires you and just post to join!
