New Today!
I'm new today, although I have a log in that dates back to 2007. I do not remember what, or if I posted back then.
My weight is really getting me down. I've started and failed at so very many diets, so many times. I's hard for me to believe I can even get close to goal weight. However, I must try. Can anyone relate to having no confidence due to many diet failures? I plan to focus on one day at a time being successful. I'm not doing a particular eating plan at this time, just healthy and keeping it reasonable. But, I might lean towards low-carb or a similar plan because I feel best when I stay away from refined carbs. I am using the app: "Lose It" to record food intake. I also started taking Green coffee extract yesterday, along with CLA. I have no clue if it will help or not. I love this forum as it's so positive and supportive |
Ready to make a new start!
I know what you mean about diet failures. I just signed up here today and feel very inspired already by everyone's stories. I started out at 254lbs and am down to 228. I hope to get to 150 but it feels so far away:( Good luck to you:carrot:

I am new today also. I love getting on here and reading about people who have the same struggles as I do. I have been on the Ideal Protein Diet since May 8, 2012 and I have lost 28 pounds. But there are times that I have to get on here and read to stay focused. Some days I have more motivation than others. I think it will help me even more to post on here and talk with others!

I agree with needing motivation since it does seem like it will take a long time to lose the weight (for me). This is a great place!

Yeah im in the exact same position tried weight watchers, Scottish slimmers, cambridge weight plan, atkins all of them! and non were successful, this time round im trying something really radical and out there! calorie counting and lots of exercise i no im mad (haha). But really dont class them as failures your not a failure because your still on here trying! Make this you last "restart" dont waste anymore years thinking what if life is to short, thats the conclusion i've came to! and if you do fall off the wagon just get straight back on, Good luck I wish you lots of success x

Thanks to all of you for your support! I feel successful just being here as it's such a positive place to be!
Good luck ladies! |

Hi and welcome!
I totally understand the lack of confidence. I think the most important part is to never give up the fight. You're here and trying again, and that's the best thing you can do! Something I've heard many times on this site really clicked for me: The time will pass whether you lose the weight or not. Would you rather be closer to your goal (possibly at your goal!) a year from now or trying to figure out how to start again then? You can do it! Take it one pound at a time and with some patience and hard work you'll get to where you want to be! |
New
Hello all, I have been reading many posts the last few days about IP as I am about to take this journey. I go in for my consult July 6th and will be starting IP on July 9th. I know I will have some difficulties as I work out of town 14 days at a time (and 7 days off at home) and stay in a camp (where all food is provided). I, of course, have a plan and am motivated to stick to it 100%, however, I know it will be quite hard at times. Here's to new beginnings.:carrot:
