Hello!

Hi everyone.. I'm a 23 year old mom of 3 and currently at my heaviest weight. I had my 3rd child about 3 months ago so the last time I weighed myself I was 207. Before I had my middle child (over a year ago), I weighed 150. (I'm 5'5).. Then I gained 50 lbs during that pregnancy. After he was born I had only lost 10 lbs, and when he was 6 months old we had a "surprise" pregnancy. I gained 25 more lbs during that one. I NEED to lose this weight as I'm at an all time low emotionally. I've already made changes to way i eat and I think I've been very good about that. I used to eat nothing but junk and frozen food... now I don't buy any junk at all. I make all our meals and always have fruits and veggies in the house. I also switched to eating whole grains and cutting meat down to only 2 times per week. I try to buy organic and all natural foods whenever I can. Now I just need to count calories and stick with it.. I've changed my mind set this time around to where I'm not going to "try" and lose weight, but I'm going to make a lifestyle change. Yes, my goal is definitely to lose weight but I'm trying not to think of it that way! Because i've tried enough times to know that if I think of it like that, I will fail.. and I don't want to anymore.

Anyway, sorry that was so long! I hope to get to know everyone here and hopefully get the support that I need so that I stick this out and meet my weight loss goal :)

Wow, I so relate to you. I weight almost 190 and this is the most I have weighed in my entire life. It is so depressing. I could just scream. So I am just taking it this morning, nothing else. We'll see. I kind of have a plan and part of this short plan is to be on this website reading and sharing every day. Don't know if that will be possible but I know I have to have the support.

It's so hard to diet when your down and when your down your exhausted. I know as I'm depressed and I want comfort. Unfortunately I turn to food. I find writing in a journal helpful. Exercise gives me more energy, even if it's for ten minutes. Try to stay away from mirrors as much as possible cuz it always makes you feel worse. Don't know if this helps but just to let you know, you're not alone and keep ur chin up. If you mess up, don't beat ur self up. Just tell yourself that tomorrows a new day. Good luck!
