Haha you're too cute! I'm Canadian and have never heard of Ralph's Grocery, but there are tons of options for you. Are you calorie counting, carb counting, or trying something else? A good place to start is by cutting out soda and candy, but I'm sure you knew that.

I guess you could go for lean meats, seafood, raw vegetables, fresh fruit, low fat yogurt and milk, whole grains ... ? I'm not sure I'm much help as I don't know what kind of plan you're going for.

You should tell us more about your eating habbits now. Are there certain foods you feel like you couldn't live without?

Hi NBK, I'm in England but I can still offer general advice on things to eat and avoid eating, I think the rules are pretty universal :)

First off, stop buying any junk food that you might have been getting. Things high in saturated fat or refined carbohydrates, and soft drinks/soda. Try and avoid snacks like potato chips, cookies, ice cream, and replace them with fruit, yogurt, and sugar free jell-o (I know that American brand, haha!)

Good things to buy are wholegrain foods, try to buy them instead of 'white' refined starchy foods like white bread, white pasta, white rice, etc. Get the 'brown' versions as they're wholegrain and have a lower glycaemic index, so they don't mess with your blood sugar and the fibre is good for you.

Eat plenty of vegetables, try to eat five a day. If you don't like drinking water out of your tap at home, get bottled water. You need to drink 1.5 litres of water per day, because it keeps your body hydrated and aids in the metabolism of body fat as you lose weight.

I think that's it for now, good luck grocery shopping and welcome to 3FC! :D
