Talking I'm new, and any advice is welcome!

Hi everyone,

My name is Brooke, and I'm pretty awesome. Except in weight loss. I'm pretty slow going in that area. My highest weight was 297( early 2008). I got down to 218, got pregnant, back up to 272(weight I went to the hospital at to have my son), dropped back down to 225(3 months later), got back up to 250(got used to the breastfeeding calorie amount. Oops), and now i'm back down to 235. I want to be back down to 160. I look hot at 160. I'm a size 8-10 at that weight and I love it! I have 75 pounds to lose.

SO! I go to the gym 2-3 times a week. On days where I don't go when i'm supposed to, I do a workout video. I send my son to daycare just so I can work out. I'm a stay at home mom, if I send my son to daycare, I HAVE to go to the gym or do a workout video. That was a deal I made with my husband. Or rather, what I said, and he looked at me like I was crazy & said "Uh...okay."

I started going to the gym in January. again. It's an on again, off again relationship, and yes, my husband knows. That's when I went from 250 to 235. In feb I got REALLY sick with Pneumonia, sinus infection, flu, pink eye, strep throat, and bronchitis. And that brings us all the way to the end of march. I finally got better. I didn't gain any weight back though! I just fluctuated between 234-237 depending on the day. Today was 236, ftr.
I'm back at the gym and I'm ready to get back on track!

Here's what I do:
********** every few days for breakfast with either a banana, a hard boiled egg, or small apple.
on the days I don't drink my **********, I have 2 eggs scrambled with a wedge of laughing cow cheese, like half a tomato chopped, 2 oz of avocado, and salt free cajun seasoning.
snacks are usually yogurt with wheat germ, string cheese, fruit, something low cal.
Then there's lunch. Usually 300 ish calories of something. Dinner the night before, talapia in a salad, chicken, cereal, just something.

Then comes afternoon snack....chocolate, ice cream, girl scout cookies hidden in the back of the freezer, anything else that will ruin my diet day. This is where I screw up. Every. Day. and not just a little, a LOT. It's like I can't stop myself. pathetic and where i'm not so awesome.

then there's dinner where I think "I can save today, I really can! And I make something healthy 5/7 days of the week.

Afternoon snack is my enemy! It's usually when my son is asleep and I've tried taking a shower, exercising through it, premade snacks for that time, GAH! I don't know what else to do?!?!? Any ideas? Just throw them at me & I'll try them to see fi they help or if i've already tried it. Except drugs....For some reason I'm just against those.

Alright... I'm over my hissy fit. I'm ready for ideas and THANK YOU in advance!

Default Hi!!!

I don't know about giving you advice because I am exactly where you are and I need some advice myself. I know exactly how you feel. I'm 205 lbs and I need to loose 55 lbs. This is my second day on jenny craig.
I'm hoping that this time I can loose this weight. I say this time because I lost 25 lbs a year ago on weight watchers, gained it all back and then some.
I'm hoping to give and get support here.
