I'm done being overweight! I really can't STAND it anymore!

When I was in high school I had a HORRIBLE self esteem and thought I was huge when I was only in the 130s. When I went to college I stayed in the 140s and then decided to join the Army. I went in at 148 and got down to 135 but when I joined my husband to our duty station, my weight crept up. I found out I was pregnant at 158 lbs. I decided to get out of the army during my pregnancy and I delivered my son 5 weeks early at 222 lbs on June 21, 2010. I got down to 165 last summer but now am back up to 180! I know it is stress though. We were supposed to PCS in December to Alaska and have been living in other peoples houses and with other people's stuff since! We will be moving next month to Anchorage and I'm determined to lose this weight this summer!

I work out 5 times a week already so I KNOW it is my weight! Today is my birthday and I've decided that by my half birthday I want to be down to my prepregnancy weight and by April 15 2013 be 130 lbs! I know I can do this but I know I need support!

This picture was taken last week during easter! I didn't even REALIZE how big I looked!

Hi

I'm new here also, and I can't stand being overweight anymore either!!! What we have in common is that I didn't realize how big I was either. I'm 205 lbs started jenny craig two days ago.
Just wanted to say hi and wish you good luck. I think with support we can do this!!! :):)

First off, welcome to this forum! You'll find tons of support and information here on your weight loss journey.

And I know what you're talking about with the "I didn't realize how big I looked" thing. I didn't take full body pictures for years and when I went to Disney with my friends a few months ago and they uploaded some pictures on Facebook was when I realized how big I looked! For some reason I don't know of, I've always thought I was a lot smaller. LOL!

I am new here too. I hear ya about being in the 130's in high school and I thought I was HUGE. Now that I am 230 I can't stand myself. I have had a hard time since after college. I was diagnosed with PCOS and put on 5 different pills. I gained about 60 pounds just from the pills. I know in the last year I have been severely depressed and put on about 25 lbs. I am starting Ideal Protein tomorrow and my goal is to be back at 130 no later than my birthday. It is a stretch being 3 pounds a week, but I am determined!!

Good luck to you. Good luck with your move to Alaska. I have some friends in the military out there too. Are you at Fort Campbell right now? That isn't too far from me at all.

I'm new here as well and I was in the same boat as you, I didn't realize how big I had gotten until I saw a picture of myself and that pretty much scared the crap out of me into starting to lose weight. I was also In the 125-130s in high school then in 2010 rapidly gained a lot of weight. It took me two years to realize that I was 170. It's now been 11 months since then and I'm almost at my goal weight of 120.

Good luck to you and your weight loss journey!

I am new here as well. I weighed 150 when I met my now husband 8 years ago and marriage and 2 kids later I am 227, don't see how it happened but I don't want my kids to be ashamed of me =( so maybe we could help each other in the motivation department. I wish you the best on your weight loss journey! Good luck =)
