New to this site. I turned 50 last summer. Since 2007 I have put on 50 lbs. The other issues that have changed since 2007 are, 2 sons that are Marines and 4 deployments. Youngest son is currently in Afghanistan. Younger sister diagnosed with advanced colon cancer in July of 2007 and passed in May of 2009. I helped care for her and continued to work.
I am a radiation therapist and treat cancer patients every day and couldn't help her. in 2008 my husband resigned his position of 25 years (company was on the rocks) and went back to college to finish degree. I'm was sole bread winner for 3 years. My comfort is eating. I used to walk 3 miles every day and now can't get my butt off the sofa once I get home each day.
I think I am now ready to get myself put back together.
Hopefully I will find the support that I need here. So far so good!

So sorry for your loss. Welcome to 3fc, you will find a lot of support and encouragemant here.

I can completely understand eating as a temporary solution for extreme stress. I'm really sorry for everything you've been through.
