Trying to lead a normal life

  • Hello
My name is Elle. I'm 23 years old, and I'm trying to lose 50lbs before my wedding in August. I've struggled with weight issues since about 4th grade. My mother is very small (100 pounds or so). My sister and I took after my father and have a hard time keeping our weight down. When I entered high school my weight was around 180 (size 9) and I starved myself for years to get down to my smallest, 144 (size 5).
The depression i felt was crushing. I was miserable. My entire lifestyle revolved around my appearance and what entered my mouth. I decided to try to lead a normal life and leave the eating disorder behind. Anyone who has had disordered eating in the past will tell you that its difficult to understand what normal eating habits are. My weight fluctuated for 6 years and reached its max a few months ago of 216.
I dont see myself when I look at recent pictures. I want to feel secure and proud and strong again. I started dieting and exercising everyday last week. So far I've lost 6lbs

My goal is to lose 54lbs by the beginning of August

    Age: 23
    HW: 216
    LW: 144
    GW: 155
    CW: 209

    Pounds lost: 6
