Hi everyone! Getting started today.

I am fed up with not recognizing myself in the mirror! It's been 8 years since I was comfortable in my body, and it time to get to work on losing the weight. :)

I used the M.T. 6-Week B.M. 8 years ago with astounding results! I went from 240 to 160 in only 4 months, and trimmed to 150 over the next 4. Then I just got complacent, very slowly building back up to 230. 4 years had gone by, I started getting serious about my health, then became pregnant with twins. Boom! Up to 300 by the time they were born, and I'm 282 today.

I'm putting my foot down as of today, and getting serious about my health. I always ensure that my kids eat healthy meals, get plenty of natural exercise, and are comfortable in their bodies. It's time to walk the talk. I'll be posting daily updates, as that's what helped so much last time, in my diet blog. I'll track my weight everyday at 8am, list everything that I eat and drink, and thereby hold myself accountable for my progress. (And also so I can SEE the results of my hard work!)

I have halfheartedly dieted before, but never went to the trouble to keep track of my progress. What always ended up happening is that I wouldn't see any change in myself, and so would give up in small ways until I had finally returned to my earlier habits. I deserve better! Not for my husband, who is SO supportive. Not for my children, though they certainly deserve a better role-model. For myself, because I'm a really smart and interesting person who should - maybe - love myself a little more... and forgive myself for not being perfect! :)

What is the M.T. 6-week B.M. - it seems like you got outstanding results the last time you did this...

Good luck on your journey, cant wait to see your progress....

Not a good 3rd day on the diet, but then, no one's perfect.

Ended up running tons of errands today, so fast food was the mainstay. I did manage to get food for the diet while I was out and about, and I didn't eat any desserts (my problem food) so it certainly could have been worse.

I tried to lose weight last year in March. I walked for 30-60 minutes everyday, did sit-ups and push-ups every other day, ate REALLY healthy, etc. After three months of this, all that happened was my stamina increased (really did good there actually) and I lost 10 lbs... 10 lbs?!? Really?!? Then the weather changed and it got up to 115* during the day. Nixed the exercise, started eating too much again. Gained back everything I'd lost, of course.

Now, even when the weather is too much to take outside, I have a little track of circular hallway I can walk to my heart's content in air conditioning, yay!! I've been sick with everything the kids bring home from school for the last 2 months straight, and my stamina is a ZERO. Blech! Picking up toys wears me out! I've been building that back up slowly, and will continue to do so.

Since I've lost 4 lbs already just in water weight, I feel good about the diet working this time. *I* want it to work this time! :D

Have so many things in the house right now that I want to inhale! ARGH!!!

Donuts, chocolate cupcakes, strawberry shortcake, potato chips...

But I made it all day long without eating any junk food, and I know I can do it again tomorrow. The rest of the days will just have to take care of themselves until I get there.

Welcome to the forum! You'll find a lot of support and advise here. I sneak over to the success goal forum so I can see how wonderful they all look and envision myself there soon! hehe You can do this!

I weigh-in every morning at 8 o'clock. As of today, my 6th day on the diet, I have lost 8 lbs. Not a bad start!

khover42 04-11-2012 11:09 AM

I've been at it a week now (today is my 8th day) and I am down to 271.4. I'm giving myself a C grade for my first week, as Easter put quite a dent in sticking to my plan. I'm going for a solid B this week. I may miss the timing of my meals slightly, or have something that's not *exactly* part of the diet. I will not, however, go off-diet completely like I did last week.

11.2 lbs lost so far, and my energy levels are up!

Down by 14 lbs this morning!!!

I have been craving chocolate something fierce lately, but have kept it out of the house, so have an easier time dismissing it. "Binged" on Tic-Tacs two days ago because the kid's dessert was sending me loopy! I sucked down half a box in one sitting. lol

I need to get more gum so I can bust through my worse moments.

Congrats! Are you still using the 6 wk body makeover or are you doing a different program?
