Default Hi from Oklahoma!

I've been lurking around reading some of your stories for a few days now and decided I might as well join!

I am wife to one, mom to five and mamaw to eleven (so it seems I'm always cooking for someone! LOL). We live on a small homestead, where we raise dairy goats, horses and a variety of other animals.

I have been overweight most of my adult life, but even more so as children came along. Over the years, I have lost and gained - I've been a real yoyo dieter at times, but now it is TIME!!!

January 1st, I started doing intermittent fasting, sacrificing 2 meals a day and eating dinner with my family. I do liquids through out the day ~ coffee, tea, tons of water. The last of January, I developed pneumonia, which helped with the weight loss, but left me with very little energy. A friend of mine had been doing Herbal Life for about 7 months and asked me to try it, in order to help get my energy back. So far, I like the Herbal Life program, though I don't follow it real close. I have one or two shakes during the day and still eat dinner with my family at night. Over the last 2 months, I have lost a total of 22 pounds, although the last 3 still make the scales go up and down ......hoping to see another drop soon.

I would like to be at goal weight by April of 2013. I think that is doable, with a little work, although I may have to change things around a little from time to time, finding what works for me.

I haven't set any short term goals as of yet. I guess I need to do that, so I can celebrate some small victories from time to time.

My main problem right now is exercise, or the lack thereof. I have a bad back and my knees bother me. I have been trying to make myself walk a little everyday, in hopes that as the weight comes off, this will become easier and I can walk longer distances.

Thank you for this site! There is an amazing wealth of knowledge and encouragement here.

Thanks for the welcome! After having a house full of family the last 3 days and me not eating very well, I am somewhat back on track today!!! Yea!

May this new week see the scales fall for all of us!

Blessings!
