New...and a long way to go

Hi, my name is Bernadette and I just weighed myself for the first time in eight years. Yep. I'm still in shock.

I just started the FirstLine Therapy program on a doctor's advice and will have to loose about 130 pounds when all is said and done. I'm trying to be positive. I've been down this road before and know that somewhere after 40 or 50lbs of weight loss I will get discouraged.

I also know that 40 or 50 lbs at age 49 is going to be a heck of a lot harder.

I hope to connect with a few of you to provide mutual encouragement and help. I will need it!

Hello and welcome.....I started with 134 to go until my first BIG goal. Pick a plan that you enjoy and can stick with. Think positive...don't say "I will get discouraged" or it's "going to be a heck of a lot harder." You've done this before so the positives are:

1) You know your body will respond
2) You know how to stick to a plan and
3) At 49, you're wiser and know how to make this work :)

Cheering you on to goal :)
