Hello New here and sick of being fat and sick.
Hello,
Well my title says exactly how I feel. At my highest I was just over 300lbs but I've been hovering around 245 to 260 now for the past 10yrs and its causing me problems. I dont have a lot of support. Its just hubby and I and well hubby suffered a brain injury several years ago which fried his short term memory he can remember things from way back but he cant remember what he ate last night for supper he is kinda like Drew Barrymore's character on the movie "50 First Dates" so he's not much help. Anyway I'm fixing to turn the big 4-0 and I wanna feel 40 not 80! So I'm going to try again. my plan is simple eat less stay away from carbs as much as I can and exercise more. Figure I'll go with mostly fruit and veggies and stick with lean meats but eat them sparingly. This is a hard row to hoe alone but I dont really have much of a choice. Thanks Cat 250/250/150 but would be happy at 175 |

Welcome Cat,
I can realize that you are in a difficult situation with your hubby and the weight but you make a good decision to join this site. You will get a lot of support from here. Wish you a lot of courage, patience, faith and inspiration. |
Make sure you eat enough protein, such as chicken and fish which is very low in carbs. Fruit are high in sugar and carbs, so you might go easy on fruit. Eat lots of veggies, but no corn or peas. Also, go see the calorie counter folks. They're a big help.

Thanks Everyone.
I hope I can figure this out. |
