Stressed Out Newbie :)

Hi everyone! I'm a stressed out college student looking to lose about 15 pounds. I've always been a bit of a heavy person - I have a naturally strong build but years of being lazy just made me pudgy! For the most part I'm pretty happy with my image, but like everyone I struggle to be happier.

I go to the gym 5 days a week and do both cardio and weight training, and I try to eat healthy. I don't have a problem with /what/ I eat. For a broke college student I've managed healthy eating pretty well, but I have an issue with overeating when I'm stressed or studying or just not doing anything. I'm a bit of a night owl so I'm usually up late, then begin to eat just for the sake of doing something other than homework. I'm having a hard time controlling my eating habits and it's REALLY counterproductive.

So I found this forum and decided to join for some support and be able to talk to people in similar situations. I live on the coast and a majority of my friends are really thin. I'd really just like to be able to put on a bikini without wanting to cover up may tummy and thighs.

I'm excited to be here though, I look forward to talking to everyone :)

Welcome! I am a huge evening/night time snacker, so whenever I feel the need to eat late at night, I just come on this site and look around. It prevents me from grabbing the junk food.

That actually sounds like a good idea! It keeps the hands/brain busy and there's the added bonus of motivation :)
