Red face Starting Ideal Protein Diet

My name is Nicole and Im starting the Ideal Protein diet this Tuesday the 31st and am nervous. Ive never dieted in my life and am really hoping Ill have the willpower to stay away from all the resticted foods. I am the biggest carb lover, so this is going to be a long and hard change. Ive read a lot of the sucess stories and even the ones who are in the process now and that seems to have put me at ease a bit but still pretty nervous. Hopefully I can do this. Thanks for posting all your stories for people like me to be encouraged from, it does help.

Default Good luck!

You can do it! I've tried every diet out there-this is the ONE that works! It works cause there is no cheating. Sometimes the packets need a little "enhancing" but they are generally good. I just made a "milkshake" with a pudding packet, ice, water, vanilla, cocoa powder and a bit of truvia-in a blender.

Good luck! Enjoy your last day of meals!

Nicole, welcome, glad to have you join us. I suggest you look for a Challenge or Support group to join; small check-in groups make it easier to connect, get involved, and be accountable. We have groups centering around specific diet plans, such as IP, themes, or age groups, so find one that inspires you and just post to join!

Hi Nicole! I started the IP program yesterday and I am also VERY nervous. This is the first real diet program I have tried and I really hope it works out. I've been checking out the various groups like the IP forum and I have already seen so much helpful info that it really helps calm my nerves!

Good Luck!!

I am on day 7 of IP. Make no mistake it is rough to start, day 3 & 4 were the worst. I think I am over the hump now on the detox part, but I am finding you got to use the receipes on the IP board and learn ways to make new allowable thing, or you'll get tired of eating the same thing. Hope to see ya at the IP group boards! Good luck, hang touch!

You CAN do it! I'm on week 3 and it has honestly FLOWN by!

I'm the biggest carb lover you could ever meet outside of yourself, but now in week 3 I don't regret a thing. You really honestly don't miss those things *as much* while you're on this. I can look at them and resist them and even SNIFF them & still nothing much lol.

The food will be there when you're DONE! remember that!

YOU CAN DO THIS!

thank you guys so much for all the encouragement. It means a lot. Im on day two and Red Lobster was not the best idea for me tonight, cause Ive been having strong cravings and have been really moody. Even though I ate some things I shouldnt have Im still very proud of myself and I got it out of my system (felt pretty guilty afterwards) a piece of coconut shrimp and a bite of a cheddar bisquit...I know, bad! I will definately be joining the support forum. Thanks again and best of luck to all of you fellow dieters! : )
