Hi everyone

Im Debs and this is the 3rd time I have tryed to lose weight. I get so far and then it all goes kaplunk and I return back to my old ways and lose motivation.

2012 I have decided is going to be different. I summoned up the courage to go back to Slimming world by myself and have been on plan for 2 weeks now. I have lost half a stone but weighing in at 21 stone - I was in total shock. The heaviest I have ever been . . . Anyway I have a long way to go.

So I have set myself a target. I want to lose 100lb. I would like to get down to under 14 stone. I have a friends wedding in December so thats my motivation. I want to go to that wedding as a completely new person.

Ive been a lurker on this site for many years but I am going to try post more and would love to make some friends and get inspiration from and hopefully give inspiration to all of you. We can do this!!!!!

weddings seem to be an excellent motivator! i know my own prompted me to lose almost 30 pounds in 2.5 months.

Debs, welcome, glad to have you re-join us. I suggest you look for a Challenge or Support group to join; small check-in groups make it easier to connect, get involved, and be accountable. We have groups centering around specific diet plans, themes, or age groups, so find one that inspires you and just post to join! Be sure to check out the UK Chicks and the 'Restarters' group in the 100lb subforum.
