I'm NEW too :)

Hello Everyone!

This looks like a really awesome forum so far, I can't wait to get in on the action :carrot:

I started my journey officially on Jan 6th. I have never felt so motivated. I realize that it's always really hard to change your diet, but if your head isn't in it 100%, your diets will fail. Which is where I have been for the last 5 years.

I'm 39, 207 (5'3,4ish) as of this morning and I have lost 13 pounds since the beginning of this year with strict calorie counting and consistent exercise. I used to be one of those that exercised all the time and ate what I wanted and never lost weight. I finally figured it out that I had to cut calories and eat the right things, end of story, bottom line etc etc! At the gym I recently joined a fitness challenge, much like the Biggest loser (10 weeks starting Jan 30th). and I believe I WILL WIN! or at least top 3, if anyone else joins.. haha.

I really look forward to motivating and supporting others as I also get inspiration, motivation and support from all of you

Good luck to us all!

Hi Ali, I'm pretty new here myself and I agree this site is awesome! Seems like your doing good already and off to a great start. Keep up the great work and hope to see you around the boards! :)

Also a newbie

Hi Ali,

I'm just getting started, too. Keep going -- once I lost some, it became easier to see into the future and work to get there.

This site is great!

Alitorry, welcome, glad to have you join us. I suggest you look for a Challenge or Support group to join; small check-in groups make it easier to connect, get involved, and be accountable. We have groups centering around specific diet plans, themes, or age groups, so find one that inspires you and just post to join! Be sure to check out the 30 or 40somethings whichever you like better, and the Calorie Counters sub forums
