15 years! Long Overdue!

I've been a big girl for all of my life. I'm pretty sure I was skinny when I was four. I first remember becoming conscious of my weight when a girl in my elementary school pointed out my "4th boobs." :(

Since then, I feel like it's been a vicious cycle. Being overweight made me sad, & so I ate, & gained weight, which made me sadder, & so I ate some more. :dizzy:

I don't want to get into my story too much right now, but I'm feeling motivated! I just want to surround myself with people who UNDERSTAND WHAT IM GOING THROUGH. Im looking to lose 114 pounds! That's A LOT! It's not "15" or "5".. (not to say I'm looking down on anyone with any type of weight loss goal, I am very much for encouragement!) but it's obviously different from losing 114 lbs.

But I'm feeling motivated & I'm in a good place in my life. This is LONG overdue & I'm going to do it this time! :carrot:

I look forwardd to getting to know you guys and sharing my success with you, hearing about your successes, & supporting each other! ^_^

ASaladandaDream, welcome, glad to have you join us. I suggest you look for a Challenge or Support group to join; small check-in groups make it easier to connect, get involved, and be accountable. We have groups centering around specific diets plans, themes, or age groups, so find one that inspires you and just post to join!

Welcome to the forum! Try breaking your weight loss goals down into smaller goals, like 10 lbs at a time. This will make it less overwhelming and each time you meet your mini goal, it will give you a big boost of accomplishment.
Also, motivation will get us started but dedication and determination will keep you going.
Stay close to the forum and post often. Best of luck to you!
