Hi guys!
I'm new to the site and found the support and success stories on here so amazing to read! I'm currently 182lbs standing at 5 ft 7 and my goal is to get down to 135lbs by the end of 2012 ^_^ What prompted my kickstart wasn't the new year, but the realisation that I an 0.5 away from being classed as obese on the BMI scale. My case is very similar to yours. I am 5'6" and weigh 185 pds. I want to at least get down to 140 by the end of 2012, but if I get into the 130's then that's great. My first goal is to get to 160 by summer. What is driving me is the same as you being close to being obese and the fact that I have high blood pressure and I feel bad and am so tired all the time. I wish you the very best of luck in reaching your goals and hopefully I can reach mine too.

Lilsquirrel, welcome, glad to have you join us. I suggest you look for a Challenge or Support group to join; small check-in groups make it easier to connect, get involved, and be accountable. Find one that inspires you and just post to join! Be sure to check out the UK Chicks sub-forum and the 20-somethings!
