Hey

Hey my name is Aleshia. I am 24 and I am 284 pounds. My goal is to be 190 pounds. I have been obese for as long as I can remember. I really hate being this big, but I am scared of loosing weight. Right now guys don't find me attractive so I don't feel like I have to worry about rapist. I am afraid of becoming smaller and more attractive. I really want to be happy with my weight. Not only am I afraid but I am an emotional eater. I have tried time after time. I guess I need to be accountable to someone and when I gain weight I need to own up to it and not let it defeat me anymore.

I dont like getting in the floor to work out and dont have the money to go to a gym so what exercises would you suggest?

When I did crunches I will lay on the bed. Do you think it is lazy? I have a hard time getting on and up from floors. The bed is the easiest. I guess that for me to be serious about loosing weight then I would need to suck it up and get in the floor.

Countrybarbie24 - Welcome to the forum! So glad you are here.
Do you know what eating plan you are using? There is a ton of information about many different eating plans on this site. I would encourage you to choose a plan that fits in your lifestyle and you can follow long term.
As for exercise, there are many video's on YouTube that you can download and use for free. You can watch a video on YouTube about the proper ways to do squats or lunges, these will keep you off the floor and help build muscle and burn calories. You might consider going to a place like Craigslist and seeing if you can find some inexpensive hand weights. I have purchased several exercise equipment/weights from that site.
I wish you all the best!!!

I have been counting calories. I have also been walking a 1/2 mile last 3 days. I love the feel after I have gotten done with my walk. I am also doing boxing and zumba on the wii and cardio. I have been doing some taebo and dancing also.

I am happy to say that I have lost 10 pounds. and started walking again the other day. I have walked three days in a row. It day walking 1/2 mile.. Next week I will start walking a mile. I am happy with life and ready to loose this weight. I had set back at thanksgiving and had a 3-4 day thanksgiving binge, but got back on the ball on lost. I was so down when I first wrote on this thread I have been a member for like a month now and all the support I have gotten has been awesome and all the lady's on here have been so inspiring. Reading back over the post I have wrote in this thread and I am sad to know that I was so down on myself and only feeling piety and wanting piety. Through some the challenges I have been on it has been amazing. Thanks for all the advice and encouraging words it has been so helpful in my first month journey 2 onderland. If you like to keep up with my progress pm me and I will send you a link to my FB page.

I would suggest walking. Start out slow, like around the block. Every week you can add a block. You don't wanna start out with too much. Stretching is important. After you start feeling fit and flexible try incorporating crunches and girly pushups..Every little bit counts!! Good Luck!!!

Yea I have been doing that. Next week I will go up to a mile. I am walking 1/2 mile now. I have been doing all kinds of exercises including girly push ups and crunches. I have lost 10lbs so far. I plan on uping all of my exercises next week. Thanks.. Good luck to you also

Hello and :welcome3:

Hey, have to start somewhere... there are lots of things you can do without having to get into the floor.

Something that I have found helpful... and inexpensive.... are 3 pound Danskin soft weight balls. I became familiar with these when I was having trouble even standing or walking. You can do a lot of arm and upper body exercises lying on your bed even.

I hope you find a plan soon that is right for you. This is a great place for advice and encouragement.
