Hi! New here. New to weight loss!
Hi everyone! I found myself googling "weight loss support" and found this forum! Can't wait to look around a bit more.
A little about me: I'm 21, 340ish lbs. I've always been a "big girl" but a couple of months ago I realized...I really need to lose some weight! Even though it's not affecting my health at this point, I know it will. I've never dieted before..I'm not really even looking at this as a diet, but rather a lifestyle change. My short term goal is under 300..long term 150. I'm just keeping my eyes on the 299 goal right now! The only thing that's working for me is calorie counting. My iphone app is a life saver! I'm trying to get into exercise but finding it difficult to get motivated. Anyway, looking forward to checking out all the other sections here! :) |
Hey pommesucre! Welcome to 3FC! It sounds like you've got a good attitude about losing weight. I hope to see you around the boards.
P.S. Motivation is overrated. As I have to remind myself often - "Just do it." |
WELCOME....you'll find a great bunch of people here. I am calorie counting and startd exercising with Walk Away The Pounds...I didn't like (and couldn't do) a lot of the high impact exercises...Worked for me.
Remember, one day at a time, one meal at a time, one pound at a time. I agree with the previous poster...motivation is overrated, commitment will keep you going. |
Welcome! I found this forum just like you did! I'm glad I found it. I've been here for a couple weeks or so and am very glad I joined.
I think you looking at mini goals rather than the entire goal is one of the best ideas and, for many, it seems to help keep the person on track. I love it. Good luck on your journey! |
Hiya, welcome. I also just joined! I'm in the same age and weight range if you need a buddy. I sure know I could use one going through the same thing as me. :)
