Hi all! My name is Kirsten. I'm about to be 34 and have been trying to lose weight my entire life. I'm currently 247.5 and my ultimate goal is 175. Mini goal would be 20 lbs gone. Have been seriously trying to lose since the spring, but just can't seem to stick with it. I joined yet another gym and started getting up early to work out before leaving for work in the mornings. That didn't last long, now I get up once a week to go. My DH says he loves me the way I am, but I can't stand the way I look and (don't) fit into my clothes. I just can't seem to get up and get motivated! So, here I am. Looking for, hoping for the motivation I need. Looking forward to finding a niche here and meeting some people. |
Hiya Kirsten, this is a great place to come looking for support. Lots of information here along with the support. Are you going to be following a certain plan along with your exercise? If your heart, head and mind aren't ready for this journey then you will more than likely keep stopping. Stop and think about why you want to lose the weight, its has to be for YOU, YOU have to want to do it. You can do anything you put your mind too.

Hi Kristen. I'm new here also. Just wanted to say hi and wish you a lot of luck on your path. Losing weight is hard but we can all achieve our goals. We just have to keep trying.

Welcome Kirsten! My best advice to you (which I learned from this site) is to throw the word 'motivation' out of your vocabulary. Weight loss is hard work and takes COMMITMENT. You have to commitment every day to work on making the healthiest choices you can.
I wish you all the best! |
