ready to change

Hi there everyone.
Just wanted to say hi and I cant wait to start reading through more of the posts on here. I found this site by a search I did.
About myself: my highest weight was 302-when I was pregnant and my highest when not was 294. Right now i stay between 285 and 289 but with the thoughts of wanting to have another baby, well I dont think its wise on my part to get pregnant at this high of a weight.
My ultimate goal is to be down to 160ish. I've tried numorous times to lose weight and I just can never do it and I think its because I was so alone... no one else in my family needed to lose the weight, but I am ready now. My son will be two on 11/11 and I would love to be down about 8 to 10lbs by then if not more. Any tips, tricks, ideas anyone has would be wonderful to hear.~beth

Tomorrow we start biggest loser at work- hence the seaching last night, and at the end of the month the gym that I have signed up for will be open and I will have a session with a trainer. Other than that just counting calories and working out at home for now. Thats kind of why Im open to any suggestions.

Wow, we have very similar stats/goals! I also hit 294 as a non-pregnant weight, lost some, and then topped out at 310 during my pregnancy. Ended up at 280 after giving birth to my son in June, and am looking to lose enough to get down around 165. I also want to lose weight before I try for baby #2.

Best of luck, and welcome!!

Thats great it works for you. I am really hoping that it works for me. I really dont want to go back to trying all sorts of fad diets.
