Hi I'm Melissa
Hi all!
This is my first post on this forum, and I'm really happy I found a supporting group. I think this will make it easier to stick with my diet an exercise plan. So here's a little about me... I'm a junior at college and I used to do a lot of sports in high school (varsity co-ed wrestling, varsity women's water polo, and captain of the fencing club). In freshman year at college I did women's rugby but had to quit sophomore year due to an injury. At the time I was very muscular, and when I quit I had no other sport to go to, but I forgot to scale back my diet from the caloric demands of 9 practices a week. :eek: I am 5' 9," and probably about 220 lbs. I haven't weighed myself since the beginning of school (I'll do it tomorrow! I promise! All the scales on campus are in out-of-the-way buildings!) Over the summer, I completed my first 5k (although I was an athlete I always sucked at running) and began counting calories and eating healthier. My goal weight is 165 lbs, and/or a healthy body fat percentage. Thanks for reading! :hug: |
Hey and welcome to you! You used to play rugby? Wow, I love that sport! Are you watching the world cup?
I also did lots of sports in high school and when I stopped I gained tons of weight. But you know what? Atleast we can change it! How are you doing with the calorie counting? It's also my weightloss method. So glad you could join us and become part of the family :) Good luck!! |

@Melodymist, I'm not watching the world cup, mostly because I don't have much time to watch tv. Who are you cheering for?
