I'm BRAND NEW here!

Hey!

I heard about this place after listening to a Jillian Michaels podcast - she recommended it.

I'm trying my bloody heart out to lose weight and I'm not finding it easy AT ALL.
It's not that I'm eating crap or not exercising - I eat salads (balsamic vinegar dressing) and lean meat and veg and fruit and fat free yoghurts and whole grains. I have a 1200 calorie per day limit and I work out AT LEAST 3 days a week for at least an hour. My work outs consist of swimming or a Jillian Michaels DVD (I may have a bit of a girl crush on her) or else Ministry of Sound Pump it Up work out DVDs. And I go to kickboxing classes one night a week.

In the past 6 weeks I've lost NOTHING. WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY??

I don't even take milk in my coffee anymore for crying out loud.

I did break my diet for one day but that was because it was my birthday and I was going to have cake. But that's it.

I am not on any medications, I don't have a thyroid problem or anything. It's just annoying. I'll keep trying.

Anyway, Nice to meet you! Sorry for the rant :dizzy:

I am sorry that you are having such a hard time. Sounds like you have a good plan. Are you writing the food you eat down? Weighing your food so you have accurate measurements of what you are eating?
As weird as this sounds, you maybe eating too few calories for your size and level of exercise. Try upping your calories to 1300-1400, continuing with your exercising, carefully counting and tracking your calories and see if that helps.
Keep with it, the weight will come off.

At 200 lbs, I would think that 1200 calories a day is too low... especially because you're working out! You may want to up it for a couple of weeks and see if that helps. Welcome to the board! :)
