Default Greetings and Salutations

Hi guys,
I found this website while doing a bit of google research. I've been thinking about seriously trying to lose weight (again). I've always been the fat girl, the girl that had mini heart attacks every time she went into a department store to shop for clothes. I realized I didn't want to have those feelings, and that I wanted to feel good about myself.

I started a Zumba course, and I'm trying to watch what I eat, however temptation with food is pretty much everywhere and with a hectic schedule, I find that it's hard not to let the excuses for why I should have a burger and not a salad roll in. I'm thinking that maybe with the help of this community I might be able to discuss all of these thoughts with people who might be in similar situations, or have been in similar situations.

I look forward to conversing with you all and share in your successes, and help with the setbacks.

I had my last burger July 15th. I have the credit card receipt. I was having burgers 2 to 4 times a week. Loved french fries. I thought it would be impossible, but I haven't had fries (or potato chips, or pizza) or a burger since.

I was just at the right time that I just did it. I live in Texas and have gone to a a few 'taco cabana' visits, think higher end taco bell. And more than a few restaurant visits. But the fast food visits I have just nixed. I can't offer any other advice then I was ready and I just stopped. I am bringing meals to work (kashi and Amy's mostly). Drinking Orgain for breakfast.

The amazing thing is not only the calories saved. But even though I am eating less I am so less hungry. The burger trap is two-fold. Very bad for you when you eat, but then it still leaves you hungry. Try if you can to just avoid it for 2 to 3 weeks and then it gets easier. 2 months tomorrow no burgers and fries for 2 months. Trust me I never thought it was possible but it is now my reality.
