To be honest, I'm not sure what to expect - or even what it is that I want to get from the experience. I only know that trying to lose weight in isolation - which is how I've always done it before - is not a recipe for success. At least, not for me.
So here I am. I've read a lot about nutrition, obesity, and I'm a reasonably good cook. I enjoy exercise and I love travelling to far-flung places. Most of all, I love writing. About anything. And I want to lose weight. I need to lose about 40kg - but right now, I'd be happy losing 20. I've been on a diet (for want of something better to call it) for the last 6 weeks and have has some small success. But I want to do better.
Which is why I'm here. I look forward to getting to know you.
