On the last leg of my journey
Hello
I'm Majella and I live in Co.Cork Ireland with my dog Tasha and 3 cats oh and my husband! I'm 29 years old 5foot 5 inches and I've been on a weight loss journey for 3yrs now, I never meant to be trying for so long but life does get in the way! I lost a lot of weight with a vlc diet with shakes and soups and yes I put on 7lbs after I stopped and that was my own fault because I didn't do maintenance! I wanted to loose more weight but couldn't do that again so I discovered Atkins and did quiet well on it. Then I stopped loosing weight and I was confused and gave it some time but nothing helped. I felt sick and tired all the time so I went to my gp and I had an under-active thyroid. It took months for that to stabilise and other diets would not work any more. Back to low carbing again and I have lost around 40lbs since starting and i've been keeping it off. But now my life is changing and I want to get rid of another 20 odd pounds. I'm stuck between sizes but this time I don't hate myself like I used to. I feel more mature then I did 3 years ago. In 5 weeks I'm opening a craft shop and want to loose as much as I can by then. So for the last time in my life I am going back on the vlc diet (cambridge) the shed the last of the weight. It was a hard decision to come to but I'm so sick of eggs and meat!! and I'm in a bit of a hurry!!! So thats me :D |
Welcome to the forum. Congrats on your weight loss success to date!

Newbie!
Hi! I'm from Canada, I'm 5ft and just two months ago, I looked like a fat filled spring roll when I put on a dress at 140lbs. A health scare motivated me to lose the weight. The first 30lbs came off quite easy and I know the last 10 is the hardest, but I am up for the challange.
Since June I have been eating healthier and I practice portion control. I have been attending Zumba classes twice a week, I walk everday for leisure outside and 3 weeks ago I started doing cardio every night for at least 3-4 miles. :carrot: I am currently at 110lbs. I've always been 100lbs all my life except the last 4 years when I let myself go and became lazy and binge every night. But I am determined to reclaim what was once mine. :D So 100lbs me, get ready for a come back. :carrot: |
