An Introduction To Me...

Hello. I'm Bewitched and I have a weight/food problem.

I'm 35 years old, happily married, and I've been battling a food addiction since I was in High School. I've tried many "diets" and nothing has worked for me. Last Thanksgiving, I made myself a promise..I would NOT turn 35 while still weighing over 200 pounds. At the time I was 238 pounds. I decided to change my lifestyle and "do this right". I was successful to a point..in March I was at 201 pounds. At that time, my husband and I went on vacation and I decided to eat whatever I wanted during those 3 days. That was my mistake.

Since then I've been yo-yo'ing between 201 and 210 pounds. I can't seem to break through that darn 200 pound point!

I've identified my problems...1) I love food, 2) I want to scarf everything in sight between the hours of 5 pm and bedtime, 3) during my PMS stage, that need to scarf intensifies, and 4) my loving husband is sabatoging both of our weight loss goals. If I want to eat something "bad", he will not tell me no.

I work with many women who I've nicknamed "skinny minies"..ya know the girls who can eat anything they want and never seem to gain an ounce. Yep, I bring fruit as a snack and they haul out the candy bars and cake. It upsets me, though I try not to show it.

So...I'm pretty much an open book. I've come here hoping to find "chicks" who understand. I'd love to make friends and hopefully help myself and others through this crazy thing we call life. Blessings to all! :)

Welcome =)

First of all, congratulations on making healthier choices and losing weight -and- maintaining that loss.

More so than losing, one of the hardest things is the keep the weight off. You're keeping it off so far :yes:

You can do this! We're all here aiming to be a bit healthier each day. We understand.

Best of wishes, and hope to get to know you better along your journey~

While it's not your husband's responsibility to tell you no (you're a thirty-five-year-old woman!), there are things you can do to help yourself. Try intermittent fasting. It basically gives you a window in which you are allowed to eat each day. In your case, I would make your window from the time you wake up, until 5 PM. That way, when you eat, it's to fuel yourself, not out of a craving.

Welcome! I have similar "problems" that you do! I also recommend intermittent fasting. I have only been doing it for a week now but it has been amazing at decreasing my appetite and helping feel as if I can eat more since I have a smaller window that I eat my meals. I fast from 8pm-noon the next day. There is alot of info out there on it if you are interested. I am a huge fan already! Good luck with your weightloss journey!
