Hello :)

Hey guys, I'm KJ. I've lost 40 pounds over the last 2-3 years and I'm diabetic. I still have a long ways to go. Low carb tends to work best for my blood sugars. I just recently started a 90 day challenge with protien shake replacement for 2 meals a day. I lost some ground the last couple of months due to long work hours and high stress at the job (crunch time) and was having trouble getting back into low carb. So, I'm using this as my kick start. Anyway, it's day 2 for me! See you around the forums!

Hey KJ, I'm a low carber too, so far it's been working wonders. I'm only 2 weeks in diet mode and I'm down 9 lbs!!
Congrats on your 40lbs. That's a lot of weight!!

Hey there, and welcome to 3FC! Congrats on your weight loss so far. :)

Thanks. Sad thing is that 40 pounds and I haven't even lost a clothing size. I mean, this size fits a bit better but still, you really can't tell much.

Well, once you get to larger clothing sizes, 24/26w, they tend to cover larger weight variations. So 40 pounds ago I was pushing the limits on the size.

Hey, how do I see a list of my posts to keep up on replies? I went to subscribed threads and there were none in there. Thanks in advance!!

Hey Kjsspot =) Welcome to 3FC

My first time around, I had to lose about 50 pounds before I lost a clothing size.

I understand that completely. However, I DID go and pick up weights before that and trembled in amazement that I'd lost THAT weight. That amount of weight had been on my body... messing with my joints... making me work that much harder. And it was no longer there. I was a lighter human being!

We're happy to have you join us =)

You might appreciate the Dieting with Obstacles area where there are others coping with Diabetes while losing weight. There's also a Low Carb area under Diet Central. And there are many support groups under the Support Group section that you can join in on, too!

As for keeping up with threads, if you're interested in subscribing to a thread you have to click on Thread Tools at the top of the thread, hit Subscribe and then confirm on the next loaded page.

Then when you hit User CP if there are updates on the threads you've subscribed to you will see them.

Another way is if you click on your username, you can check out all the posts you've ever made.

Glad to have you join us =) You can do this! Best of wishes~

Thank you! I subscribed to the whole Low Carb and the Diabetes forums but is there a way to automatically subscribe when you make a post?

ETA: Posted before I finished. I did just take a 30 pound weight into my room the other day to calibrate my scale. Geez, I never thought about equating that to how much I lost! It was pretty darn heavy!

There may be a way to automatically subscribe.

If there is, it should be under UserCP - Edit Options. Somewhere there abouts.

I hope that helps. I don't use the auto-subscribe myself, so I'm not 100% positive.
