The platoon has lots going on like:

--we're about to embark on the second leg of our trek around the globe...add your miles to the platoon total to help us complete 24,500 miles around the world.

--play against each other for fitness points and climb the leaderboard on fitocracy.com

--smack talk side challenges like the first to lose 15 pounds, number of days on plan with no cheating, etc. etc.
